I understand that your time is valuable and limited, so I will get straight to the point. According to the 2010 U.S. census, there are approximately 5.2 million Native Americans living in the United States. However, a significant percentage of this population lives in poverty, in part, as a result of lacking the information and means to preserve Indian estates.
Many Native American community members would benefit greatly from being educated on the nuances of “Indian estate planning” and from having legal representation in federal Indian probate proceedings. In light of the Cobell federal settlement, now is as vital a time as ever to provide such support to our tribal communities.
Here is where Stewards of Indigenous Resources Endowment, Inc. (“SIRE”) can be an invaluable resource to you. SIRE has worked directly with a number of Native American Indians to help them manage their Indian estates in a way that is more beneficial to their families; keeping valuable indigenous resources and wealth within Native American families. Since 2008, SIRE has provided this service to tribal communities at no cost to them or their family.
SIRE can aid you in showing your tribal community that you understand and care about their needs for Indian estate planning education and services. Your generous donation will help accomplish our charitable mission of Keeping Tribal Lands in Members Hands!! In exchange for your generous donation, our attorney will continue to provide estate planning education to our Tribal communities at no cost!
SIRE is a 501(c)3 grassroots non-profit of Washington State (federal EIN 26-3690240) and I, Ms. Roberta Armstrong, Executive Director, humbly ask your kind financial or in-kind donations to invest in our Native American families.
